Apura Ingredients promotes Dave Douglass

Apura Ingredients, a supplier of high-quality, low- and no-calorie sweeteners has announced the promotion of Dave Douglass to its Director of Sales.

As global brands and regulatory bodies continue to address worldwide sugar consumption concerns, the move towards for developing lower-sugar health solutions is becoming increasingly more important. Dave’s extensive experience and expertise in nutritive and nonnutritive sweeteners, flavour modulators and regulatory requirements make him the ideal choice to guide customers through their reduced-sugar initiatives.

Dave first joined the Apura team at its inception in 2016 and has since built a noteworthy career that spans 13 years leading sales strategy within the food, beverage, nutraceutical and personal care ingredients industries.

Most recently as a Business Development Manager, Dave was fundamental in achieving growth across the US Western and Central territories through product innovation, new customer acquisition, sales support and marketing and industry trade initiatives.

As Director of Sales, Dave will play a crucial role in defining and executing the company’s long-term business strategies to further Apura’s innovation pipeline and strengthen its position as in sweetener and taste modulation technical expertise.

Reporting directly to Nancy Hughes, Apura’s President, in his new role Dave will manage strategic objectives for the US Eastern and Western Territory Business Development Managers. His wealth of experience and deep-rooted expertise will further elevate Apura Ingredients’ pursuit of excellence within the industry.
