Wrigley extends seasonal range for Halloween following success last year

Wrigley have added five Halloween SKUs to their seasonal range in the UK, after a trial period in Tesco last year proved to be a resounding success.

As a result, the company are releasing the tubs – retailing at £5 – and they will contain 29 single packets of Skittles Fruits and Skittles Crazy Sours, while also rolling out Skittles Darkside once again.

Darkside in particular proved to be a hit with customers, and the product – which will be available in pouch form as well as funsize – will have five flavours; Forbidden Fruit, Midnight Lime, Blood Orange, Pomegranate and Dark Berry.

As well as Skittles, Wrigley have focused on Starburst, who will also feature in their season range, and have brought in limited edition Trick or Treat sharing bags to be put onto shelves.

The Trick or Treat pouches will only be available for three months, and Wrigley will run it alongside the Skittles Fruits Funsize, which will remain available to purchase throughout the rest of the year.

With Halloween always being a remarkably busy time for confectionary retailers, it will be interesting to see if Wrigley can build on their successes from last year this October coming.
