The Belgian Chocolate Group appoints MD

The Belgian Chocolate Group has appointed Frank Erfurt as its new Managing Director as of 21 April, 2023. In addition, Marc Pauwels, the company’s previous Managing Director, has become Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

The Belgian Chocolate Group is a producer and exporter of Belgian chocolate products in almost 100 countries through its portfolio of brands which includes The Belgian, Koetjesreep and Starbrook Airlines, as well as through private labels.

“In 1996, I took over a modest chocolate company. Since then, it has grown into The Belgian Chocolate Group, a thriving and financially healthy company with 150 employees,” commented Marc Pauwels, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of The Belgian Chocolate Group. “With Frank Erfurt we have found an excellent Managing Director with his sales and marketing expertise as well as a strong affinity with production. I am confident that our top-class team led by Frank will take The Belgian Chocolate Group to new heights.”

Described as a ‘food industry veteran’, Frank Erfurt is bringing his 25+ years of experience at Sara Lee, Jules Destrooper and Vandemoortele, with success in both branded products and private labels to the role. For the last 12 years at Vandemoortele, he led large teams as International Commercial Manager Bakery Products.
