Theegarten-Pactec’s FPC6 is a new generation of high-performance flow-wrapping technology designed to deliver maximum flexibility, stable packaging processes and consistently high efficiency throughout the machine lifecycle.
Developed for chocolate, confectionery, cereal and protein bars, functional foods and snacks, the FPC6 combines high output with flexible material handling and minimal changeover effort. The machine can process paper-based packaging materials and recyclable mono-material films at speeds of up to 150 metres per minute, while maximum output reaches 1,500 wrapped products per minute depending on the application.
Flexible materials and rapid changeovers
A key strength of the FPC6 is its ability to support manufacturers moving towards more varied and recyclable packaging materials without compromising speed or process stability. An integrated preheating section enables reliable processing of sensitive materials such as paper and recyclable mono-material films while maintaining high throughput and consistent quality.
The machine also offers flexibility between cold sealing, heat sealing and cut-off seam welding. The cross-sealing unit can be changed without tools and is guided largely automatically through the HMI. Stored settings are loaded from the recipe management system, helping make changes fast, safe and reproducible.
Format changes are further simplified by electronically recorded machine settings and counting scales, reducing the need for manual trial-and-error adjustments. This supports faster product changes while helping operators maintain consistent results.
Designed for maximum machine availability
The FPC6 places strong emphasis on reliable day-to-day operation. Enhanced touchscreen visualisations and graphical replacement images support troubleshooting, while the machine can identify cause-and-effect relationships across process boundaries and indicate potential sources of problems. This helps reduce unnecessary interventions and downtime.
Its Flying Splice technology allows packaging-material rolls to be changed without reducing machine speed, even at 150 metres per minute, improving availability and reducing operator workload. A shortened product infeed also gives the FPC6 a more compact footprint while maintaining product speeds of up to 100 metres per minute during singulation.
By bringing together high output, recyclable-material capability, automated changeovers, intuitive operation and uninterrupted packaging, the FPC6 provides confectionery manufacturers with a flexible platform designed for efficient, reliable and future-focused production.
