Diana’s Bananas issues allergy alert

Diana’s Bananas is announcing an allergy alert and voluntary recall of its 10.5 ounce packages of Milk Chocolate Banana Babies dipped frozen bananas that may contain undeclared peanuts.

The voluntary recall comes after it was discovered the product was distributed in packaging that didn’t reveal the presence of peanut butter. People with allergies to peanuts run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction.

Diana’s recalled Banana Babies Milk Chocolate were distributed to six retailers and distributors: Stater Brothers, San Bernadino, Albetons/Safeway Irvine, Kroger Syracuse, Lipari Foods, UNFI in Iowa and in Washington.

Consumers who have purchased these packages with a best if used by date of 08/05/23 are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. No illnesses have been reported so far in connection with this problem.
