Experts in extrusion technologies for the confectionery industry with a wealth of knowledge to support them, BCH’s showcase at ProSweets included energy-efficient and hygienic solutions

BCH’s stand at ProSweets showcased the latest generation TS180 Twin Screw Extruder, perfect for extruding a variety of viscous products including liquorice, starch gels, fruit twists, pastes and gels. It includes the most recent upgrades: in comparison with combined cooker extruders, BCH’s range of extruders only use 20% of power to drive the machine, translating into less energy consumption and greater savings for confectionery manufacturers.

In keeping with the latest technology and reflection of where the industry is going, BCH’s extrusion lines feature the latest IE3 energy efficient motors which reflects a 2% increase in the overall efficiency of the machine.

The latest generation also upholds the most stringent hygiene standards as confectionery manufacturers can use clean in place (CIP) features which brings a whole host of benefits to extrusion lines.

While this may not seem a lot compared with the previous model, this improvement can be seen in the long term, especially in factories where BCH’s production lines are in operational 12 hours a day, seven days a week – only stopping for product changeover and cleaning.

The major advantage of choosing BCH’s extrusion systems for creating your confectionery products includes the assurance of quality. BCH systems have been engineered to distribute equal metered proportions of product. This becomes evident on multicourt solutions where each individually coloured and flavoured part of the product is identical in size.

Also on their stand was its popular motor-driven drop roller, which attendees at the trade fair were invited to stop by and discuss, ideal for producing hard candy, toffee and chews. With its origin in the 1800s, BCH’s drop roller today has been optimised to feature in both hand operated and motor-driven models, depending on the requirement of the manufacturer, and can produce products ranging from 1kg samples up to 600kg/hr.

These systems have also been designed with the utmost flexibility in mind, to make sure customers have the capabilities to expand their product portfolio in the future and make sure their products stand out on the shelves.

BCH will be showcasing their expertise at Anuga FoodTec in Cologne, 19-22 March in Hall 10.1, Stand F071 and Appex Australia in Melbourne, 12-15 March at Stand E170. The BCH team invite you to visit their stands to discuss how their technologies can optimise your process.
