WDS’ depositing technologies at ProSweets

For a four-day period, Winkler und Dünnebier Süßwarenmaschinen (WDS) presented classic depositing technologies and hygienic solutions for sensitive applications at the well-attended trade fair ProSweets Cologne.

The manufacturer of confectionery machines hit the mark with international trade visitors. “Our discussions with customers and visitors showed that the enthusiasm for high-precision, hygienic depositing technology remains a particularly unique selling point,” explained Carsten Butz, Technical Manager at WDS. “This was a chance for us to provide information to numerous national and international customers about our solutions and to help solidify and even conclude concrete business deals.”

Confectionery machines from WDS cover the entire spectrum of moulded confectionery, ranging from lab to large-scale plants. The company therefore presented depositor systems for all pourable and tearable masses at ProSweets to reflect the full diversity of WDS plants. The product and system-specific programme parts provided evidence of the high-quality standards of WDS. Another highlight was the EasyClean design, which makes it easy to change parts that come into contact with the mass or even replace entire depositor systems.

The WDS division sweetOTC has established itself in technologies for the production of active OTC sweets, supplements and nutraceuticals. Especially for this sensitive field, WDS exhibited a hygienic depositor system made of 100% stainless steel.

Customers were informed about complete customised solutions in designs qualified according to applicable GMP regulations. These solutions cover the entire value chain, from brainstorming to the development of individual confectionery products and specially adapted production processes.

In terms of digitalisation in the confectionery industry, WDS is a founding member of SweetConnect and is focusing on multi-vendor networking and digitalisation in the industry.
