Luxurious Cornwall-based confectionery co. aims for international attention at IFE

Buttermilk will appear at the London event as part of their ambitious export strategy

Artisan confectioner Buttermilk will make their debut appearance at IFE, London, to showcase innovative new ranges to British and international markets.

Taking place from March 19 – March 22, Britain’s biggest food and drink trade fair will see Buttermilk showcasing luxury gift boxes and traditional fudge bars.

Since opening their Bodmin kitchen in 2015, production capacity has increased, enabling their target to double the amount of product they export. Now, Buttermilk are focused on an export strategy that will bring results on a global-scale.

Managing Director, Tracy McDonnell-Goad, said: “Our brand has been developed to appeal to an international audience while reflecting our Cornish heritage. IFE puts Buttermilk in front of a worldwide market, making our confectionery more easily accessible for our customers outside of their visit to Cornwall.

The fair provides us with the perfect opportunity to meet with existing customers, as well as potential stockists and distributors from Britain and beyond, which will contribute to achieving our export goals.”

Buttermilk currently produces more than 60 confectionery products – from fudge to brittle and honeycomb, which are stirred over open flame in traditional copper pans.
