GODIVA Expands Presence in China

pladis brand, GODIVA, a global premium chocolate brand, has opened its Xintiandi flagship store in Shanghai, China, as part of its centennial year celebrations in June 2026. The new store brings together chocolate craftsmanship, interactive experiences, and local cultural inspiration to offer a more immersive retail experience.

Located in the Xintiandi district in Shanghai’s Huangpu District, the flagship store sits within one of the area’s signature Shikumen buildings. The location reflects Shanghai’s blend of historic architecture and modern city life, aligning with GODIVA’s focus on combining heritage craftsmanship with innovation.

The store is designed using GODIVA’s signature chocolate, pink and gold palette and features three dedicated areas for discovery, gifting and enjoyment. A central chocolate customisation area allows visitors to create personalised assortments by selecting flavours and formats. The gifting space offers chocolate gift boxes with personalised packaging options for everyday occasions. An indoor and outdoor seating area provides space to enjoy freshly made chocolate products on site.
