CapVest acquires Second Nature Brands

US-based private equity investor CapVest have acquired Second Nature Brands, a company offering nutritional snacks and treats, including Kar’s Nuts, Second Nature Snacks and Sanders Chocolates.

Second Nature Brands’ history spans over 140 years in the snacks and treats market, focusing on the nutritional and lifestyle needs of health conscious consumers. The company’s brands includes Kar’s Nuts, which produce trail mix, Second Nature Snacks, which makes snacks and trail mixes and Sanders Chocolates, which produce small-batch, kettle-cooked sea salt caramels.

CapVest has been investing in food businesses for more than 20 years, with an understanding of the consumer food sector. Recent achievements include the transformation of Valeo Foods from less than EU200 million n sales to over EU1.1 billion in sales operating over 106 markets around the world.
