EXBERRY® Shade Intense Pink Blossom is a liquid-based concentrate that delivers natural pink shades with a high colour intensity.

Made from non-GMO sweet potato and purple carrot, it is a clean-label, plant-based colouring solution for the Europe and Asia-Pacific markets. It is made using physical processing methods with no chemical solvents and can be labelled simply as “concentrate (sweet potato and carrot)” in the EU and UK.

Heat and light stability

EXBERRY® Shade Intense Pink Blossom offers excellent heat and light stability and delivers intense, stable shades at low pH levels. It can be used in any water-based application and is highly effective in confectionery products such as boiled sweets and aerated gums.

Its high colour intensity means it can be used at lower dosage levels, which helps to optimise cost in use as well as supporting easy and efficient formulation. In addition, its strength allows for a lower carbon footprint due to reduced packaging requirements and lower transport emissions.

Sustainability

Sustainability is a key focus for GNT and the company offers Product Carbon Footprint data for EXBERRY® colours. The PCF calculations account for the total greenhouse gas emissions produced across the entire lifecycle of each coloring ingredient, including agriculture, energy use during production, and transportation.

The figures therefore give brands access to measurable, credible information for their own sustainability reporting, decision-making, and marketing materials.

Due to its closely managed supply chain, GNT has an externally assured Greenhouse Gas Verification Statement covering every stage of colour production (scopes 1 to 3).

More recently, GNT became one of the first food colour manufacturers worldwide to have its PCF methodology independently verified in line with ISO 14067.

GNT also currently holds an EcoVadis Platinum award for its sustainability performance, ranking it among the top 1% of companies in the food manufacturing industry.
