Ferrero North America has opened its first chocolate processing facility in Bloomington, Illinois, marking a significant expansion for the company in the region.
The Italian-founded confectionery giant, known for brands such as Keebler, Butterfinger, Nutella, Kinder, and Tic Tac, has been steadily increasing its presence in the U.S. This latest development adds to their strategic growth in the North American market.
The new 70,000 square foot facility at Ferrero’s Bloomington campus will produce chocolate for major brands including Ferrero Rocher, Butterfinger, and Crunch. This site is now the company’s third global processing center, expected to play a key role in its regional strategy.
Alanna Cotton, President and Chief Business Officer of Ferrero North America, commented on the expansion: “Bringing Ferrero’s decades of experience making high-quality, world-class chocolate to Illinois, the heart of America’s food and confections industry, will help us achieve our goal of being the market leader in sweets and treats. Ferrero and Bloomington will be stronger together for years to come.”
