Ahead of the must-attend virtual event Confectionery Live happening next month, 21-22 February, we are pleased to announce our next speaker; Dr. Sandra Link, Product Manager of Makat Candy Technology, a subsidiary of Syntegon.

Dr. Sandra Link looks back on many years of experience in mechanical engineering for the food industry, especially focused on processing solutions for the gummy and jelly industry. With her intuition and high level of expertise, she manages to incorporate current trend topics such as automation, sustainability, simplified maintenance, or changes in market/consumer requirements and many more directly into the development of new processing lines. She has been supporting the team at Makat Candy Technology GmbH, a subsidiary of Syntegon, as Product Manager since 2018 with this expertise.

As growing numbers of consumers become more health conscious and aware of their wellbeing but still continue to enjoy the gummy format with different shapes and flavours, the rise of the nutraceutical market has seen nutraceutical candies at the front of utilising functional ingredients to provide consumers with supplements they can take for their health and wellbeing.

In her session at Confectionery Live, Dr. Sandra Link will will share with International Confectionery Editor Caitlin Gittins her expertise in the trends driving the growth of the market as well as the challenges it is currently facing. She’ll also talk about what manufacturers need to be mindful of when producing nutraceutical gummies, and how automated turnkey systems can help with this application.

Join 1000+ attendees from 83 countries in attending Confectionery Live, the dedicated online platform for providing the latest insights and market trends for the global confectionery industry.
