Who’s Who – BCH Ltd

BCH combines nearly two centuries of engineering expertise with advanced processing technology for food and confectionery manufacturers worldwide.

Established in 1835, BCH has built a reputation as one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-quality food and confectionery processing systems. With almost 200 years of engineering expertise, BCH continues to support manufacturers across the globe with reliable and efficient processing solutions designed to meet the demands of modern production.

BCH specialises in the design and manufacture of advanced cooking, mixing and cooling technology for a wide variety of food applications. Its equipment is used in the production of ready meals, sauces, dips, sweet and savoury fillings, fruit toppings, as well as an extensive range of confectionery products, including liquorice, 100% fruit products, caramel, syrups, jams and preserves.

Tailored solutions for modern production

Working closely with customers from initial design through to production and installation, BCH combines decades of process knowledge with the latest engineering innovations to develop tailored solutions that meet individual manufacturing requirements. Whether supplying a single process vessel or a complete turnkey production line, the experienced team provides expert guidance, technical support and exceptional customer service throughout every stage of the project.

An emphasis is placed on helping producers achieve greater consistency, flexibility and control across their operations. BCH systems can be configured to accommodate different recipes, batch sizes and production targets, enabling manufacturers to respond more effectively to changing consumer demand. By integrating process equipment with modern control and automation capabilities, BCH supports accurate ingredient handling, repeatable product quality and efficient use of labour and resources. This collaborative approach allows customers to optimise existing processes, explore new product opportunities and plan confidently for future growth, while maintaining the high standards of safety, hygiene and performance expected throughout the food manufacturing industry.

Accelerating product development and innovation

At its Lancashire headquarters, the BCH Innovation Centre houses an impressive range of cooking, mixing, cooling, forming, extruding, dosing, coating and cutting equipment. The facility enables customers to trial recipes, evaluate process performance and develop new products before committing to full-scale production.

Supported by specialists in food science, process engineering, software and automation, the Innovation Centre helps manufacturers reduce development time, minimise risk and bring products to market faster.

BCH is delighted to once again be exhibiting at Gulfood Manufacturing this November in Dubai. Visitors to the show are invited to the BCH stand in the UK Pavilion, Stand SJ12, to discuss their processing requirements and discover how BCH’s expertise and technology can help improve production quality and manufacturing capabilities.

The new material could also be shifted towards sustainability, innovation or customer service to suit the profile’s intended placement.
