Nut and Dried Fruit join forces in new UK trade association

At their virtual AGMs held jointly on Friday 16th October 2020, The Nut Association and the National Dried Fruit Trade Association formally joined together to form The Nut and Dried Fruit Trade Association (NDFTA).

Open to all companies involved in the supply, distribution and manufacture of nuts and dried fruit products, the Nut and Dried Fruit Trade Association aims to be proactive in finding opportunities to promote nuts and dried fruit and to address issues which may impact the industry.

Incoming Chair of the Board of Directors, Mrs Ellie Osman of Minerva Global Limited, said “We want to see the nut and dried fruit industry continue to thrive in this exciting era when retailers and consumers alike are more aware of the health benefits of nuts and dried fruit and are looking for innovative ways to include them in everyday foods as well as enjoying them as snacks. We encourage all companies involved in the nut and dried fruit industry, whether a multinational with operations in the UK or a small start-up company launching new nut and dried fruit products, to join us to help support their business aims.”

TNA is a membership organisation, which represents companies or individuals involved in the UK nut industry, whether it be keeping up to date with legislation changes, providing a forum for discussion, offering networking opportunities, or serving to act as arbitrators in trade disputes. Their mission is to encourage, promote and protect members of the association and to build networking forum and serve as the voice of the industry in UK and Europe.
