Noble Foods announces Gü acquired by Exponent

Exponent has announced it has reached an agreement to acquire indulgent, premium dessert brand, Gü, from Noble Foods.

Noble Foods acquired the brand in 2010 and has supported its growth to £69m in retail sales, by investing in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Bishops Stortford, continued product innovation and underpinned with far reaching marketing.

Duncan Everett, CEO of Noble Foods Group, commented: “We strongly believe that Exponent has the necessary expertise to grow the Gü business even further, especially increasing its international reach. The sale allows us to invest and grow Noble Foods’ core business and brands. I’d like to thank Pete Utting (Gü Managing Director) and his team for the exemplary leadership and steering Gü into the leading position it holds today.”

The company said: “We would like to thank all Gü colleagues over the years for their commitment and wish them the best for the future.”

The Noble Foods vision is to advance their business by driving sustainable, profitable growth through the power of their people, services and partnerships and with their thirst for innovation, the company has said. They add: “We’re on a mission; we’re ambitious, we have a constant aim to be the best, to offer more, to extend our reach. We will take this attitude with us as we strengthen our business for the future.”
