Nestlé has announced the launch of a new KITKAT Senses product.
The boxset contains KITKAT’s with three brand new flavours – hazelnut, salted caramel and double chocolate – that are each designed to be luxurious and appeal to existing KITKAT fans in the UK and Ireland.
The chocolate bars are each individually wrapped, described as ‘bite size’, and contain the traditional chocolate and wafer ingredients along with either a layer of praline and pieces of hazelnut; a salted caramel filling with caramel flakes; or a rich chocolate ganache with cocoa nibs.
Nestlé explained that once opened, each box can be turned into a ‘sharing platter’, so that consumers can share the contents during special occasions.
The launch of a more indulgent KITKAT product is described as a big innovation for Nestlé in 2018, and follows the introduction of premium brand, Les Recettes De L’Atelier last month.
Alex Gonnella, marketing director for Nestlé’s UK confectionery business, says: “KITKAT Senses is a more premium format that gives people the opportunity to enjoy their favourite KITKAT in a different way. It’s ideal for sharing with friends and family, looks great on the table and makes a perfect gift. We are very proud of these new chocolates, they taste fantastic and come in flavours we know consumers love.”
