At interpack 2026 Sugden will showcase the newly designed Sugden Pancake line with a throughput of up to 30,000 pancakes per hour. Hall 1 Stand A66
Sugden Ltd are focusing on continuous improvement to their portfolio of food processing equipment. At interpack, they are presenting their newly designed Pancake line with a hygienic design and emphasis on easy access and efficient production.
From the beginning of the line the servo driven depositor paces with the running speed of the line depositing 16 products across the hotplate with the weights controllable through the HMI.
The turnover unit has been designed to turn over a row of 16 products at a time, this equipment is servo driven to give very precise control on the positioning of the spatulas as they come down on the baking plates and also the placement of the pancake as we return it onto the plate. The turnover unit has been designed in such a way that it can be fully removed from the line on the overhead stainless-steel framework. As the line is 16 products wide this has been designed to aid hygiene and maintenance operations.
The twin take off system is again a servo driven device. We take-off 2 rows of products each time and place these onto the cooling conveyor. Each take-off bar being easily removable from the line for maintenance and hygiene.
The scrap product conveying consists of a separate system under the take-off end of the line so that we can remove product that we know will be outside of specifications without it contaminating the cooling conveyor system. Again, these 2 conveyors can be removed from the line for hygiene and maintenance operations.
The plate oiler is mounted on a mobile frame which is locked into position under the line when in operation and is easily removable for hygiene/maintenance. Oiling amounts and frequencies can be locked into the recipe ensuring it is not needed in operator’s routines. The chain oiler points are mounted in position so that when requested it is easy for the operator or maintenance engineer to ensure that the oil is being applied appropriately. The oiling schedule runs in the background counting running hours.
Sugden Ltd are rightly very proud of their latest innovations on this Pancake Line and would welcome meetings at the exhibition to discuss any bakery’s requirements. They are also flexible on all aspects of their design to accommodate the customer’s requirements in terms of throughput, size of product and size of equipment. Sugden Ltd are always committed to meet the exact requirements of their customers.
