Ferrero’s children’s Easter egg portfolio sees the addition of two new Kinder Surprise eggs; this includes the Kinder Surprise 100g eggs (£6.35) and will feature Justice League and Trolls toys and the larger 220g eggs will include new Marvel Avengers toys.
Thorntons is adding Dinosaur and Unicorn eggs (151g; £3.23) to its range of children’s eggs, featuring “fun and eye-catching designs with a high level of characterisation to bring the popular creatures to life”.
The adult Easter eggs range sees the addition of a Ferrero Collection Egg (240g; £13.34), featuring a milk chocolate shell and six Ferrero Collection chocolates – Ferrero Rocher, Ferrero Rondnoir and Raffaello.
The company is adding 16 different toys to its Kinder Joy Easter range (20h; £1.14) and is launching a Kinder Mini Eggs bag (75g; £1.40), featuring a milk chocolate shell filed with a hazelnut centre.
Thorntons is also launching a Thorntons Bunny (29g; 75p) and Thorntons Chocolate Caramel Egg (36g; 75p).
The Kinder novelties range will also see the launch of a Kinder Mix Bunny Headband (167g; £7) featuring a selection of Kinder Mini Bueno, Kinder Mini Chocolate and Kinder Mini Chocolate with Cereals.
A Thorntons Classic “With Love” box (25og; £4) will be launched to “drive relevance across the key seasonal gifting occasions”.
It is also updating the packaging of its Thorntons Classic boxed chocolates, giving it “a Spring twist”.
