Candyverse debuts new look

Plant-based candy company Candyverse Brands has announced a new look for its wholly owned Better Bears Brand. The brand refresh includes new packaging, featuring a “sleek modernized logo” with a fresh new design in order to make the Better Bears gummy candy products easily identifiable on the shelf in preparation for the commercial launch of all new SKUs.

The Better Bears Brand consists of all-natural, plant-based low sugar gummy brands, with the company poised to launch more brands in the near future. It comes in a mixed berry pack – with cherry, raspberry and strawberry gummy bears – tropical citrus – lime, orange and pineapple – and a variety pack, which combines all fruit flavours.

Being low in sugar and calories, the gummies offer a more natural, healthy snacking option, as they only contain 2g of sugar and 80 calories per bag.

The new packaging is easier to open than before and is made from 100% recyclable polyethylene (PE) derived from post-consumer recycled materials, as part of the company’s commitment to sustainable packaging. The new, thinner weight packaging uses around 50% less plastic compared with previous versions.

“Our new packaging provides a great launchpad for our new planned SKUs and gives our brand its own unique identity that is also environmentally sustainable,” explained Jeff O’Neill, President of Candyverse Brands.

Better Bears products have expanded further this year, and are now available in 1434 retail locations across Canada, in a move that Mr O’Neill said would “expand our digital footprint to prepare for the launch of our additional pipeline of product innovations.”
