The International Confectionery Awards is proud to announce südback, one of Europe’s most influential trade fairs for the bakery and confectionery sector, as an official supporter of the International Confectionery Awards. As part of this collaboration, Teoman Yanikoglu, Manager of Exhibitions and Events for südback, will also join this year’s esteemed judging panel.

Renowned as a hub for innovation and collaboration, südback serves as a key meeting point for professionals across the bakery and confectionery value chain. From the Bakers’ Trend Forum and Confectioners’ Trend Forum to the prestigious südback Trend Award, the event attracts thousands of visitors eager to discover the latest technical advancements, market trends, and creative developments shaping the future of the industry.

With many years of experience in the trade fair sector, Teoman Yanikoglu has managed major exhibitions such as Invest and GlobalConnect since joining Messe Stuttgart in 2010. Today, he leads both südback and SACHSENBACK, two of the most important trade fairs for the bakery and confectionery industry in Europe, ensuring they remain at the forefront of innovation, knowledge-sharing, and business networking.

“We are delighted to welcome südback as an official supporter of the International Confectionery Awards,” said Joseph Clarke, Editor of International Confectionery Magazine. “Their role in championing innovation and excellence across the confectionery sector, combined with Teoman Yanikoglu’s expertise and leadership, will add significant value to this year’s awards as we celebrate the best and brightest in the industry.”

The International Confectionery Awards recognise outstanding achievements across all areas of the confectionery sector, from technical innovation and sustainability to creativity and product excellence. With the support of südback and the addition of Teoman Yanikoglu to the judging panel, the 2025 awards promise to be the most exciting and influential yet.
