José María Fernández del Vallado is the Secretary-General of three major bakery and confectionery organisations: the European Confederation of Bakers and Confectioners (CEBP), the International Union of Bakers and Confectioners (UIBC), and the Spanish Confederation of Bakery Organizations (CEOPAN). With over three decades of leadership experience, he has played a central role in representing and advancing the bakery and confectionery sector at national, European, and international levels.
A Mining Engineer by training (specialising in Fuels and Energy), José María began his career in industrial development and investment attraction in Spain before transitioning to the bakery sector in 1989. Since then, he has led advocacy, policy, and strategic initiatives to support bakers and confectioners worldwide.
