Luxury single-origin dark chocolate brand, Cox & Co., is hitting the railways with a new listing with train operator Avanti, helping to enhance the travel experience for first-class passengers along the west coast.
Joining Avanti West Coast’s new onboard first-class menu from 11th December, Cox & Co. will be supplying its brand new 15g bars. These come in four delicious flavours; Miso & Caramel (47%), Blood Orange Crunch (60%), Mint Crunch (60%) and Plain Milk (41%).
Renowned for its chocolate bars crafted from the finest single-origin Colombian cacao, Cox & Co. uses Luker Chocolate blended with delicious superfoods to create unique flavour combinations that are the perfect little pick-me-up.
“Following the success of our 25g bars earlier this year, we decided to create a smaller 15g bar, providing a quick sweet treat for people on-the-go.,” explains Gavin Cox, Founder of Cox & Co. “This is a really exciting development for Cox & Co. and presents a great opportunity to get our bars into the hands of those living and working along the west coast.”
Targeting eco-conscious chocolate lovers, Cox & Co. is launching the new 15g range with its innovative paper flow wrapper, helping to reduce the huge amount of confectionery packaging waste that currently ends up in landfill, or contaminates current recycling. The paper packaging, which launched earlier in the year also won Gold at The Grocer’s New Product & Packaging Awards for ‘Paper Pack of the Year 2024’.
“Our aim is to phase out our current wood pulp-based, home compostable wrapping, in favour of the paper flow wrappers and we are thrilled to be commended by The Grocer,” adds Gavin. “Cox & Co. has always been focused on producing chocolate that doesn’t make people choose between being ethical or enjoying an indulgent treat, and our bars place equal importance on both.”
Cox & Co creates delicious chocolate that is truly different, made with care and sustainability in mind. Working with Colombia’s Luker Chocolate estate, Cox & Co invest in farmers, communities and sustainable farming methods to produce chocolate that’s as ethical as possible.
Cox & Co’s new 15g bars will be available on Avanti West Coast Trains from 11th December and to wholesalers, foodservice and retailers nationwide from 1st December (SRP £18.20, 26 bars). The bars will be launched online to consumers in the new year (RRP £1.25).
