ProSweets Cologne is set to elevate the trade fair experience in 2025 with the introduction of a new hall concept, designed to enhance visibility, segmentation, and emotional engagement. The event will feature the latest trends and solutions across four distinct theme worlds, offering a comprehensive overview of the entire value chain for the sweets and snacks industry. This strategic evolution aims to foster greater synergies with ISM, further solidifying ProSweets Cologne’s position as a leading platform for industry innovation.
Scheduled to be co-located with ISM from 2nd to 5th February 2025 as part of the broader Sweet Week, ProSweets Cologne is making significant changes to its format. One key highlight is the relocation of ISM’s Lab5 to Hall 10.1, a move that will bring the two trade fairs closer together. Lab5 will focus on showcasing new products, trend snacks, and emerging businesses, creating new opportunities for networking and collaboration. This co-location is set to deliver enhanced business opportunities, as it brings together the entire supply chain for sweets and snacks, from raw materials to packaging and machinery.
Guido Hentschke, Director of ProSweets Cologne, emphasised the importance of this development, stating, “As the only supplier trade fair that specialises in the sweets and snacks industry, it is crucial for us to continually evolve to meet the needs of our exhibitors and visitors. The introduction of the theme worlds in 2025 represents a significant step forward, offering a more organised, engaging, and business-oriented trade fair experience.”
The Four Theme Worlds
The new hall concept will transform the traditional segments into four specific theme worlds, each focused on showcasing the latest innovations and trends:
World of Packaging Materials: This theme world will highlight a range of packaging solutions, from traditional materials like paper and glass to cutting-edge, sustainable alternatives, covering the entire packaging process.
World of Packaging Technology: Visitors will explore how flexible, automated systems are driving the future of production and packaging, with live demonstrations of cutting-edge technology.
World of Sweet & Snackable Ingredients: With the growing demand for innovative and sustainable snacks, this theme world will cover the entire spectrum of ingredients and raw materials for sweets and snacks production.
World of Production Technology: Focused on the latest production technologies, this theme world will present solutions designed to optimise and future-proof the manufacturing processes for sweets and snacks.
Enhanced Event Programme and Matchmaking Opportunities
ProSweets Cologne 2025 will also introduce a diversified event programme, featuring the Expert Stage and the new Sweet Week – Talks & Tastings Stage. These platforms will offer interactive sessions, exciting talks, and tastings, providing attendees with valuable insights into industry trends and innovations. A special focus will be on organised matchmaking sessions between production directors and suppliers, facilitating targeted business interactions.
“ProSweets Cologne is setting new benchmarks next year with a precisely aligned and future-oriented event and stage programme,” Hentschke added. “Our goal is to establish ProSweets Cologne as the leading content platform for the sweets and snacks industry, with a strong focus on digitalisation and the practical implementation of AI tools.”
Further highlights of the 2025 event will include the Ingredients Special Show, Guided Tours by DLG and Sweets Global Network, and the popular ProSweets Cologne Party.
