ProSweets Cologne and the co-located global trade fair for sweets and snacks, ISM, are under starter’s orders and will open their doors on 30 January 2022. A few weeks before the opening of the fair, with current registration figures of more than 230 exhibitors from over 20 countries, the supplier fair for sweets and snacks is looking optimistically ahead to the upcoming 2022 event. With around 1,200 exhibitors, ISM also boasts a very good booking situation. In total, the trade fair duo will cover exhibition space spanning 139,000 square metres. The countries with the highest participations are Belgium, France, Great Britain, Italy and the Netherlands. The biggest country pavilions include the USA, Hong Kong, Italy, the Czech Republic and France.
The high interest in ProSweets Cologne 2022 is also reflected by the approx. 70 first-time exhibitors and the continued ongoing registrations for the trade fair. Apart from a few exceptions, all of the regular key players from all segments are on board again at ProSweets Cologne. Furthermore, due to ISM being staged parallel, important customers of ProSweets Cologne will be on-site in Cologne. In addition, the new hybrid format with the new digital platform ISM & ProSweets @home particularly offers those industry players, who are not able to attend the trade fairs live, the opportunity to come into contact with business partners, discover new products and engage in intensive networking.
“With the support of the national and international exhibitors and our long-standing partner associations, we are offering an excellent starting point for the re-start of both trade fairs. After a two-year break, it is important for us to finally offer our exhibiting companies a business platform again in the form of ProSweets Cologne so they can present their new products and discuss important themes on packaging, process automation and ingredients. Beyond this, we also know from discussions with significant industry representatives that getting together face-to-face is essential for the business of the participating companies,” explained Gerald Böse, President and Chief Executive Officer of Koelnmesse GmbH.
Important exhibitors and the industry sponsors of the trade fair are also showing great commitment to PSC: In their capacity as a business meeting point, trend or innovation platform, both trade fairs have key importance for the sweets and snacks industry particularly in these ongoing challenging times.
Simone Schiller, Chief Operating Officer of the German Agricultural Society (DLG) stated: “ProSweets Cologne is the most important platform for the suppliers of the international sweets and snacks industry. This is where the decision-makers can find the answers to the challenges the industry is currently encountering – from manifold new raw materials, to innovative production technologies, through to packaging solutions. The many formats of the Expert Stage focus on the current themes sustainability, individualisation, sugar reduction or ingredients – providing concise information that will heighten the desire for trade fairs again. We look forward to seeing you again in Cologne!”
The Sales Director of Gerhard Schubert GmbH, Martin Sauer, is also looking forward to the pending trade fair. “For us, ProSweets is of great significance and one of the highlights in our event calendar. That is why we are all the more delighted to finally be able to meet up with our customers, interested parties and friends again personally on this unique platform. The trade fair succeeds in bringing together manufacturers and packaging machine builders with a focus on the sweets industry like no other fair. We highly appreciate this.” “The team at NETZSCH Food & Confectionery is looking forward to being able to engage in personal discussions with our customers again. ProSweets offers precisely the right platform for our machines and systems that serve for the production of food and sweets,” added Theron Harbs, Business Area Manager of NETZSCH Food & Confectionery.
