Former Booker Group chairman Richard Rose has been hired as Innovative Bites’ (IB) new non-executive chairman of IB Group.

The company has plans to expand the business, and this announcement is just one part of that. Last year, IB purchased Hancocks – a UK supplier of wholesale sweets – from H2 Equity Partners and management, while Bonds of London as also acquired.

As well as their new signings, IB Group also moved into new, 105,000 square foot premises, and has also expanded their product portfolio.

Rose’s task is to work with the management team on continuing to drive an exceptional level of service in order to support customers in growing their business.

“Richard’s appointment is a key move in our on-going business strategy to grow the IB Group,” said Wayne Beedle, CEO, IB Group.

“Richard brings within him an impressive resume of achievements. He has an exceptional track record of developing and supporting management teams to build and execute a customer focused strategy for growth; so we are thrilled to welcome him on board.”

In addition to Booker, Rose was previously the chairman of online electrical goods retailer, AO World.
