Royal Wedding souvenir candy holders rolled out by PEZ for charity

PEZ have launched a special pair of Royal Wedding souvenir candy holders, which is to celebrate the upcoming wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

All proceeds from the candy dispensers will be going towards the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and the dispensers themselves will be auctioned on eBay from May 7th to the 13th.

The Head of Marketing at PEZ, Gabriele Hofinger, picked the Make-A-Wish Foundation on the grounds the charity goes out of their way to fulfil wishes for children with critical illnesses, with the pledge to bring them happiness, create amazing memories, and to try and give them some inspiration and strength to battle their challenges.

“Both PEZ and Make-A-Wish have been dedicated to bringing smiles to children’s faces for generations. We are happy to contribute to making more wishes come true,” she said.

In addition, Hofinger did say that this also resembles an excellent opportunity to bring the spotlight onto PEZ’s collector items.

Back in 2011, for the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, PEZ also auctioned a pair of royal dispensers for charity on eBay, and they fetched a large fee.

One fan from Connecticut, America, paid a staggering £8,200 ($13,360) to win sweets dispensers that were in the likeness of Prince William and his then fiancee, with all money going to the Starlight Children’s Foundation.
