The northern German dairy WS Warmsener Spezialitäten GmbH established itself in the confectionery and food industry as a supplier of premium milk ingredients, setting itself apart from the standard mass-market products. The milk specialist now expands its range to include a new product line of ice cream mixes.

For more than a century, fresh milk from the region has been processed into finished and semi-finished products at the Warmsen site. But if you desire typical standard products such as milk powder, butter, or fresh milk products for food retailers, your search will be in vain. The company has focused production in recent years on specialised ingredients based on milk, cream, and milk fats for major brand names in the confectionery industry.

Specialist in sweetened condensed milk and customised milk products

Over 70 employees produce sweetened condensed milk, cream, and customised milk products for further processing in the confectionery, chocolate, ice cream and food industry. These products are sold worldwide with a focus on Europe.

“We are a pioneer for organic-certified and Fairtrade-licensed sweetened condensed milk and are developing new varieties involving vegetable fats. And for the export market we offer sweetened condensed milk that meets the specifications of kosher and halal production.” explains Johannes Rother, Managing Director of Sales and Marketing at WS Warmsener Spezialitäten GmbH.

Another strength of this milk specialist is the production of customised semi-finished products developed using milk, cream, and/or milk fats. These liquid premixes are developed in close collaboration with customers for their respective application and are always optimised for further processing, considering the customer’s existing production technology. This creates a wide variety of products, for example, to manufacture confectionery, crème pâtissière, and desserts.

The company has an excellent reputation and has established its status as a supplier for speciality milk ingredients. “We are proud of the confidence our customers place in us and our ingredients. They view us as a reliable partner to support them in implementing their product ideas.” Johannes Rother comments.

The company also offers a broad range of industrial filling solutions. This variety distinguishes it from many competitors and ranges from Bag-in-Box systems, sterile containers, drums, single-use and reusable containers to tanker loads. The packaging is optimised for the product and for precise and practical incorporation in the production facilities of downstream customers.
