Theegarten-Pactec’s new FPC6 combines ultra-high-speed wrapping with intelligent automation and simplified operation for confectionery manufacturers
At interpack 2026, Theegarten-Pactec Group introduced the FPC6, a next-generation high-speed flow wrapping system designed to bring greater automation, operational simplicity and production efficiency to confectionery manufacturers. Developed with a strong focus on real-world usability rather than simply increasing speed, the FPC6 represents a significant step forward in intelligent packaging technology for bar and tablet products.
Presented by Markus Rustler, CEO of Theegarten-Pactec during the exhibition, the FPC6 was described as a “complete new development” created to make production easier for operators while maintaining exceptional performance levels. Instead of pursuing higher and higher speeds alone, the company concentrated on reducing operator intervention and simplifying day-to-day operation within demanding manufacturing environments.
The FPC6 combines automatic feeding, flow wrapping and cartoning into one integrated system capable of handling a wide range of confectionery products. Suitable applications include chocolate bars, energy bars, protein bars and chocolate tablets, all processed at extremely high output levels. According to Theegarten-Pactec, the machine is particularly suited for manufacturers requiring high-volume production with maximum consistency and minimal downtime.
Automation
One of the defining features of the new machine is its advanced automation capabilities. The system has been engineered to minimise manual operator interaction during production, helping manufacturers improve reliability and reduce the potential for human error. Among its standout innovations is a newly developed automatic splicing system, which enables smoother operation and more continuous production flow.
Ease of operation was clearly a central objective throughout development. Markus explained that the design process focused heavily on “bringing more intelligence into the machine” and utilising modern technologies to make operation “as easy as possible” in real production settings. This emphasis reflects growing industry demand for packaging solutions that not only deliver speed, but also simplify workforce training and improve operational flexibility.
High Performance
Despite the strong focus on usability, the FPC6 still delivers performance at the highest level currently achievable within flow wrapping technology. The machine is capable of wrapping more than 1,500 bar-type products per minute, placing it among the fastest systems in its category. Interestingly, Markus noted that the limiting factor is no longer the machine itself, but rather the physical properties of the products and wrapping materials being processed at such high speeds.
This highlights an important trend within modern packaging development: mechanical capabilities are advancing so rapidly that manufacturers must increasingly consider material compatibility and product handling characteristics alongside machine performance. The FPC6 has therefore been designed not simply as a faster wrapper, but as a smarter and more adaptable production solution capable of supporting evolving packaging requirements across the confectionery sector.
With its debut at interpack 2026, the FPC6 demonstrates Theegarten-Pactec’s commitment to combining automation, intelligent engineering and ultra-high-speed production into a packaging platform designed for the future of confectionery manufacturing.
