Confectionery Live announces conference agenda

The conference agenda for Confectionery Live has now been finalised, and we’re excited to announce to you our final speaker lineup for the event.

As the theme for the second edition of the established virtual confectionery event is ‘Sustainable. Ethical. Lasting’, we have picked international speakers who are looking to address these themes in different ways, whether this is through the upcycling of cocoa pulp or supporting cocoa farming communities, our rich conference agenda will provide key insights into latest developments, trends and innovations in the confectionery industry.

Day one of Confectionery Live will kick off with a presentation from Kerrina Thorogood, Commercial Partnerships Director at Fairtrade Foundation, whose focus will be on how crucial partnerships can help address issues in the cocoa sector. Later on in the day, Tom Snick, CEO of Guylian, will discuss the relaunch of the company and keeping it relevant to modern consumers.

Day two will of the event feature interesting sessions on innovations in the industry to address issues such as food waste in cocoa processing, as Andrea Werdin, Marketing Manager of Koa will talk about their involvement in upcycling cocoa fruit and Johnny Drain, Co-Founder of WNWN Food Labs will talk about cocoa-free chocolate in his presentation. The day will be rounded off with a session from Amourlaye Toure, Senior Advisor at Mighty Earth, who will discuss issues the cocoa industry in West Africa is facing today and what can be done.

Join us on 20-21 June for our unmissable sessions, as our agenda and our speakers represent a wealth and breadth of knowledge and experience in the confectionery industry.
