IPCO, a supplier of chocolate forming and moulding equipment, showcased its latest innovations at PACK EXPO 2026, emphasizing advancements in chocolate chip production and cooling systems.
Rotoform HP
The company introduced the Rotoform HP (High Performance) rotary drop depositor, designed to enhance productivity in chocolate chip forming. This system features a heated stator and a perforated rotating shell that deposits liquid chocolate onto a continuously running steel belt. Baffles and internal nozzles ensure uniform pressure across the belt, producing chips of consistent shape and size. The rapid cooling process minimizes oxygen penetration, resulting in free-flowing chips ideal for handling, storage, and dosing. By adjusting the shell, chips ranging from 80,000 to 300 pieces per kilogram can be produced, offering flexibility for various applications.
IPCO also highlighted its triple-pass cooling systems, which enable high throughput with minimal floor space. In these systems, the product is deposited on the first belt, adheres to the underside for the second pass, and is then transferred to a second conveyor for a third pass. This design maximizes efficiency and is suitable for both low-cost startups and high-capacity multi-layer systems.
Piston depositor module
Additionally, the company presented its innovative piston depositor module (PDM), which combines direct-to-belt delivery with precision control to produce perfectly circular large wafer products. The PDM can be integrated alongside Rotoform and extrusion equipment on IPCO’s Chip and Chunk Moulding (CCM) triple-pass steel belt cooler line, allowing for the integration of three depositing systems on a single line for maximum production flexibility.
“Rotoform is at the heart of all our high-capacity chocolate forming solutions,” said Mitchell Paquaij, IPCO Global Product Manager, Food. “We invite visitors to come and see the system in operation on our stand.”
