After founding WDS America, a subsidiary company of Winkler und Dünnebier Süßwarenmaschinen GmbH (WDS) in 2022, WDS has a domestic presence in North America and Canada which allows for short reaction times and domestic consulting for their customers.
At PackExpo, the company aims to showcase know-how and expertise dating back decades in providing moulding plants for the production of jellies and chocolates.
Thanks to the Product Innovation Center, WDS can provide a range of services to transform a product idea into a successful product launch. The company serves all capacity sizes from lab to productional scale and individual project realisation for confectionery projects.
From lab equipment that enables product development and state of the art depositing processes to a modern generation of moulding plants, WDS provides support for confectionery projects as well as LifeCycleCare support, upgrades and retrofits of existing lines with new technologies.
At PackExpo the company will put emphasis on further development of their moulding processes. WDS America will present a lab depositor for product and process development at their booth. WDS lab depositors are suitable for all types of pour and tearable masses. Starchless and traditional starch moulding techniques are available, as well as deposit chocolate masses with various shapes and ingredients.
The modular machine design of WDS’ chocolate manufacturing plants show a range of advantages including paint-free design, easy accessibility and good insight into dirt areas.
Starchless production technology has been used successfully for manufacturing jellies, and in response to this rapidly growing market with demands for hygienic production plants the company has developed a new direction in the moulding processes.
Silicone technology was previously favoured, the company said, but a change towards polycarbonate moulds allowed for the development of a new, modern, clean and efficient plant technology for fruit gum manufacturing. WDS’ starchless plants are characterised by precise cavity spraying, exact mass depositing and ordered demoulding.
Attendees can find out more about the machinery program and service for jelly and chocolate equipment at WDS’ booth at PackExpo, SU-7222.
