UK headquartered food ingredient manufacturer Plant-Ex Ingredients have continued their expansion with the commitment to a further 18,000 sq. ft. building at their main site, Access 18 in Avonmouth, Bristol opening in March 2021.
The building will house a Technical Support facility combining four NPD laboratories for the key divisions in the organisation; Natural Colours, Top Note Flavours, Extracts and Food Protection Systems, as well as a Development Kitchen, to further understand the impact of the company’s products in customer’s applications. The expertise within the Development teams at Plant-Ex is the backbone of the organisation’s capability to meet customer’s needs, which means that many of the 4000+ live recipes are designed specifically to cater to individual client’s processing parameters.
Plant-Ex Ingredients have steadily developed since establishment in 2010, with a team of more than 70 people and production facilities in both the UK and Turkey, the company is rapidly becoming a well-known supplier of Natural Colours, Flavours, and Extracts throughout Europe and beyond supplying food manufacturers in more than 49 countries.

With annual group sales heading toward the £20 million mark, the next five years will likely see further leaps in growth for this dynamic enterprise.
