Martin Barthel and Max Kessels join Lareka

Over the past decade, the concept of ‘fair’ chocolate has gained significant recognition. In response to this evolving market, Lareka developed the BTB25 and NP60 machines, designed to meet the growing demand from chocolatiers for versatile, high-end packaging solutions. These machines are now integral to the production lines of bean-to-bar and artisan chocolatiers worldwide.

Despite these advancements, some opportunities remain untapped. There are still chocolatiers who are unaware of the solutions available for their packaging needs. To address this, Lareka has welcomed two new team members: Martin Barthel and Max Kessels.

Martin Barthel joined Lareka on 1st March as the new Director, succeeding Henk, who will continue to contribute in a background role. Martin brings a wealth of experience in packaging machinery, international trade, and leadership, having worked with companies like VDL, Kusters Engineering, and NTS. His return to Lareka is a homecoming, as he was part of the team in the early 2000s.

Max Kessels is the newest Sales Engineer at Lareka. As the youngest member of the team, Max brings a fresh and creative perspective to advising clients, enhancing Lareka’s innovative approach to meeting the needs of chocolatiers.
