Mars, Incorporated announce successor to Global Vice President for People & Organization

Mars, Incorporated has announced the upcoming retirement of its Global Vice President for People & Organization, Eric Minvielle, after four decades with the company. He will step down at the end of the year, with Rebecca Snow named as his successor.

Eric Minvielle joined Mars in France in March 1984 and has since held various roles across multiple continents, excluding Antarctica. He has lived in five countries and relocated twelve times during his tenure. In his latest position, Minvielle has been pivotal in enhancing the company’s talent pool, advancing inclusion and diversity initiatives, and developing crucial capabilities for the future.

Mars CEO Poul Weihrauch commented, “Eric has made Mars a place where people aspire to join, stay, and grow. His leadership through complex changes, including acquisitions such as Royal Canin, has been invaluable. We are grateful for his dedication to advocating for our Associates and contributing to our growth.”

Rebecca Snow will take over as the new Global Vice President for People & Organization. She will report directly to Poul Weihrauch and join the Mars Leadership Team in McLean, Virginia.

Currently, Snow is the Vice President of People & Organization for Mars Snacking in Chicago, Illinois. She began her career with Mars at Pedigree Petfoods in the UK and has amassed nearly 30 years of experience across various functions and geographies. In her current role, she has been instrumental in transforming Mars Snacking through talent development and mindset shifts, contributing significantly to the segment’s recent success.

Weihrauch stated, “Rebecca Snow’s appointment as Eric’s successor is a great move. Her commitment to fostering a culture of belonging and sustainable growth through people development is commendable. She brings valuable insights and maintains high standards for intellectual curiosity and accountability.”

Snow will start transitioning into her new role in July and will assume full responsibilities on October 1st. Minvielle will remain with Mars until the end of the year to facilitate a smooth transition.
