interpack exhibitor profile: CHOCOTECH

CHOCOTECH, a company that has enjoyed great success from its broad and well-adapted product range, will be attending this year’s interpack, ready to show you their pioneering kitchens and equipment

CHOCOTECH GmbH, a member of the Sollich KG group of companies, is a key supplier of kitchens for the Candy Industry. The scope of supply includes a number of patented processes and focuses on hygienically designed equipment with energy saving features and quick start-up and stop modes to ensure less product loss.

The company has undergone an exciting journey and development since it was founded in 1920 by Mr Otto Lauenstein, in Wernigerode, under its first name “Lauenstein & Co. KG”. As early as 1930, the company achieved a worldwide monopoly position with the manufacture of the world’s first tempering machine. Only nine years later, the 95 employees had achieved another impressive goal: 750 of those machines had been sold.

The company grew and expanded until it was renamed CHOCOTECH Wernigerode GmbH in 1990. After successful restructuring, Mr Helmut Sollich became the partner of CHOCOTECH GmbH in 1992. This means CHOCOTECH is still part of the SOLLICH Group today.

Since 1990, the company has continued to grow. A major step in this process was the establishment of the CHOCOTECH CANDY DIVISION in 2000 after the takeover of the Ernst company. Since then, the company has enjoyed great success with its international customers. The product range is broad and well adapted to the market.

Our speciality at CHOCOTECH includes solutions for both soft and hard candy type masses, e.g., Caramel, Fondant, Fudges, Jellies, OTC, Gummies, Aerated Masses, Laminated Nut Masses, Halwa, Chewy Candy, Hard Candy, Medicated Soft and Hard Candies with DQ, IQ and OQ.

The Candy Kitchens are complemented by our specially designed optional CIP Systems to ensure a safe and sustainable cleaning of the equipment.

Customer trials can be carried out in our 600 m² state-of-the-art CIC (Chocotech Innovation Centre) facility in Wernigerode, Germany, which is just a short hop from Hannover Airport. The lab is stocked with our complete range of equipment, allowing trials to be carried out for throughputs from 5 kg (Benchtop Trial) to 1000 kg per hour.
