New for 2018, family company Walkers Nonsuch is launching a new twist wrapped toffee in Salted Caramel. It’s made with just good ingredients, such as whole milk and butter, a natural caramel flavour and Anglesey Sea Salt.
The salt is derived from the seawater of a designated area of the Menai Straits in accordance with their Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) status, laid down by the Independent EU commission.
Jonathan Rae, Grandson of the late Mr Ian Walker, who recently passed away, has developed this new variety. Jonathan joined the company two years ago and has the same passion as his grandfather for the quality of the product and also the enthusiasm to research new and up and coming varieties.
All Walker’s Toffee is free from artificial colours, preservatives, hydrogenated vegetable oil, and gluten too.
The packaging reflects the product, the colours are bright blue and metallic bronze giving a modern appearance and its distinctively different to the other twelve varieties available.
Salted Caramel Toffees are available now in 150g and 2.5kg bulk bags, and 1.25kg gifting jars.
Emma Walker comments, “Salted Caramel has become one of the nations favourite tastes over the last twelve months. Combined with our creamy toffees it gives a taste and chew second to none.”
Walkers Nonsuch dates back to 1894 and today the complete range includes toffee bars, slabs and bags in different weights to suit different markets.
