What attracted you to this industry?  

Confectionery is a great category to be working in, its’s fast paced, innovative, and constantly changing – no day is ever the same.  

  

What has been your proudest accomplishment?  

Most recently, Kervan Gida UKs partnership and collaboration with Asda. From March 2022, we now supply x15 private label skus and x14 Bebeto brand confectionery skus. Not only has this been a game changer from a sales perspective, our joined-up approach has really put Kervan on the map market wide.
 

What’s your favourite kind of sweet?  

You cannot beat a strawberry or a rainbow lace, the true classics.
 

What’s your favourite part of your job?  

The great team I work with and of course collaborating with our customers. After all these years in the industry, I still to this day get a buzz from the sale.
 

What is a skill you would like to learn?  

To be fluent in a language, Greek or Turkish.
  

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?  

To be genuine and humble. Treat others the way you want to be treated yourself.
 

What’s the most interesting place you’ve visited?  

A little idyllic place called Parga in mainland Greece. Amazing scenery, fantastic food and the local people make this place a best kept secret 

What three items would you take with you to a desert island?
My golf clubs, phone, and a Swiss army knife  

What’s your favourite genre of book or film?  

I enjoy a good classic action movie like Gladiator or Braveheart. For a laugh, Wolf of Wall Street 

Who or what inspires you?  

Atomic Habits by James Clear (worth a read)
