Ritter Sport goes nuts to drive category growth

Ritter Sport is targeting growth in the £191m nut block chocolate category with a contemporary new look across its nut selection bar range and the addition of an exciting new milk chocolate cashew bar. Nut chocolate bars account for 22% of the total block chocolate market and are growing at +17% year on year. Nut is the second largest flavour category in total chocolate confectionery with sales of over £117m and growing at 13% year on year.

Rolling out into stores this month the redesigned Nut Selection range (formerly called Nut Perfection) is a must stock for retailers across the UK. The refreshed packaging and improved branding across the five-strong range will create even greater shelf stand-out and consumer appeal. The design changes include: a natural and premium looking matte foil, more visible ingredients to highlight the quality and inclusion of whole nuts in every single bar – including the fact the bars are made with 100% natural ingredients – plus an increased logo size to improve brand awareness on shelf and the Rainforest Alliance logo on the back of pack to proudly highlight that Ritter Sport uses only 100% sustainably sourced cocoa across its range.

NEW – Milk Chocolate Cashew

Joining the Nut Selection range this month is an exciting new product – Milk chocolate Cashew. The new 100g bar contains salted and roasted cashew nuts, smothered in a delicious smooth milk chocolate.

The Nut Selection range also includes:

Milk Whole Hazelnuts: Whole hazelnuts coated in a delicious smooth milk chocolate

Honey Salted Almonds: Roasted & salted almonds smothered with a honey coating and wrapped in milk chocolate

Dark Whole Hazelnuts: Whole hazelnuts, coated in a delicious rich dark chocolate

White Whole Hazelnuts: Whole hazelnuts coated in a delicious creamy white chocolate

The Nut Selection range has an RRP £1.50. Case size 12 x 100g.
