Mars brand M&Ms this month, will release its first-ever packs highlighting “dynamic” female M&Ms character. The all-female packs, according to the company, are designed to celebrate women who are challenging the status quo.
The limited-edition pack will feature M&Ms characters Purple, Brown and Green on inspiring packaging, and be the first instance where all three characters have been represented together. The M&Ms packs come after the debut of the brand’s most recent character, Purple.
“The M&M’S brand is on a mission to use the power of fun to create purposeful connections, as we work to create a world where everyone feels they belong,” explained Gabrielle Wesley, Chief Marketing Officer, Mars Wrigley North America. “Women all over the world are flipping how they define success and happiness while challenging the status quo, so we’re thrilled to be able to recognise and celebrate them.”
In celebration of the release of the limited-edition packs, M&Ms is also supporting organisations committed to empowering women in their respective fields and lives. US$1 from every pack sold will go towards supporting women via partnerships with She Is The Music and We Are Moving the Needle. Additional donations, totalling $300,000 outside of the limited-edition packs, will be put towards Female Founder Collective and Geena Davis Institute On Gender In Media.
