Rak Porcelain, known for its premium tableware in the Ho.Re.Ca sector, has expanded its production capabilities by installing a second SACMI-SAMA solution at its Ras-Al-Khaimah plant. The newly commissioned machine, a state-of-the-art NCC2 jiggering solution, is dedicated to manufacturing cups and saucers and promises high production output.
The NCC2 machine is equipped with two heads and 124 moulds, allowing it to produce items with a maximum height of 150 mm. Depending on the shape and size, it can achieve an impressive output of up to 1,200 pieces per hour. This high efficiency is the primary advantage of the new machinery, which also features a leather-hard drier. This drier enables items to age before being de-moulded, sponged, and having handles attached.
The entire production process is automated, from loading clay pieces and handling moulds to drying, de-moulding, and transferring pieces to the two automatic finishing stations. The NCC2 is also equipped with software for remote assistance, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring, ensuring streamlined operations and minimal downtime.
This new addition to Rak Porcelain’s machine fleet supports the company’s expansion efforts. Recently, Rak Porcelain received recognition at the Ambiente fair in Frankfurt for its rakEARTH range, a collection that blends traditional Mediterranean shapes with modern design elements. This latest investment in advanced machinery underscores Rak Porcelain’s commitment to innovation and maintaining its position as a leader in the high-end tableware market.
