Nestlé has introduced accessible QR codes on its KitKat and Quality Street products, aimed at improving accessibility for people with sight loss. These codes, powered by Zappar technology, provide essential product information, such as allergen details, dietary requirements, and usage instructions, which can be accessed through existing apps for the blind and partially sighted community. This initiative, in partnership with the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB), is part of Nestlé’s broader efforts to enhance packaging accessibility. Feedback from consumers will guide future expansions of the programme.
