Monty Bojangles goes from Kit-tins to Purrs

Monty Bojangles, the acclaimed UK confectionery brand, is pawing at new realms with the introduction of its latest offering, Monty Bojangles Purrs.

The debut of Monty Bojangles Purrs marks a significant development aimed at injecting fresh vigour into the confectionery landscape and reigniting consumer enthusiasm. This launch comes amidst a period of notable success for the brand, with projections indicating a value sales breakthrough of £12 million. Additionally, Monty Bojangles clinched the prestigious 2023 King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade.

Monty Bojangles Purrs presents Belgian milk chocolate velvety truffles, boasting the brand’s renowned Belgian chocolate excellence. The product distinguishes itself through eye-catching packaging adorned with Monty Bojangles’ iconic cat motif in vibrant pink hues. With approximately 8.2 million cat-owning households in the UK, Purrs aims to leverage the widespread appeal of feline companions, building upon the popularity of the brand’s existing Cat Tins.

Emphasising environmental consciousness, Monty Bojangles ensures sustainability with RFA certification for its milk chocolate truffles. The product is slated to hit Waitrose shelves from May onwards, retailing at £6.00, positioning itself as a standout amidst competitors and offering a refreshing alternative to category staleness.

Andrew Newlands, Founder and Managing Director of Monty Bojangles, expresses his excitement about the launch, stating, “We are thrilled to introduce Monty Bojangles Purrs. This innovative product promises to rejuvenate the gifting experience within the confectionery category, fostering consumer engagement and driving growth. With future additions to our product range slated for later this year, we encourage consumers to stay tuned for more magical offerings from Truffle HQ in 2024.”
