With 90 years of experience in the confectionery packaging industry, family-owned company Dumoulin will be at interpack, showcasing their IDA 3002CV for the very first time
After a six-year hiatus, one of the world’s leading events for the packaging industry – interpack – is making a comeback. Dumoulin, a 90-year-old family-owned company, is not missing the opportunity to exhibit there. Since 1932, Dumoulin was the first company to develop large scale automated coating pans for the confectionery industry.
The company will showcase its latest and largest chocolate coating machine, the IDA 3002CV, with a nominal batch weight of 3000 kg. You are invited to visit their 182 sqm booth to learn more about the machine and its features.
As one of the leaders in chocolate coating technology, Dumoulin’s IDA 3002CV boasts several unique features that have earned the company a reputation for fast, efficient, and high-quality coating with the highest production capacity. Our machine is capable of coating and varnishing chocolate in the same batch and features an energy-saving closed-loop cold-air circulation system. Additionally, the machine incorporates Dumoulin’s own design spray nozzles, resulting in fast and homogeneous coating.
For the first time, Dumoulin will showcase the IDA 3002CV, alongside chocolate, polish, and shellac distribution skids, providing visitors with a realistic representation of the machine in a production environment. The machine displayed at interpack also incorporates the latest evolutions in Dumoulin’s design, addressing the increasingly demanding requirements of the food industry. The machine features an improved cleaning system that reduces water consumption, high-efficiency motors and a chocolate waste reduction process. Additionally, the spray bar extraction process has been optimised for ease of operation and maintenance.

Industry innovator François Adele, General Manager of Dumoulin, and European Candy Kettle Club member, explains that “there have been a lot of major developments in coating: automation and the size of the machine are major developments. Automation brings the manufacturer a way to have repeatability, but also ways to manage a big batch.”
