Founded in 1924 in the heart of the Packaging Valley in Italy, ACMA is based in Bologna, and it is part of Coesia, which is a group of companies that specialise in highly innovative industrial and packaging solutions, with over 8000 collaborators, 86 production plants and over 140 operating units in 36 different countries.
ACMA engineers different technologies, both standard and custom-made. These include fold wrapping, cartoning and box filling, tray and sleeve packing, bottle filling, flow packing and tea bag packing. The company has a very strong market penetration with more than 1000 machines having been installed around the world in the last 10 years, along with daily contact with the key players of the FMCG segments around the world, providing the company with a broad range of knowledge and plenty of insight regarding its customers’ needs.
ACMA invests in its R&D resources to continuously improve products and develop new breakthrough solutions, providing opportunities to its customers to differentiate their portfolio and to optimise production. As a result of these efforts, ACMA can offer a wide range of innovative technologies designed for safety, functionality, easy maintenance and accessibility.
Moreover, ACMA makes a strong effort in digitalisation: thanks to the investments of Coesia Group in the development of digital solutions, the company can offer innovative solutions for its technologies, such as OptiMate – the smart HMI for the direct management of machines easily and intuitively, and PerforMate – an integrated IoT platform for real-time machine and production line monitoring, to increase customer productivity and improve data access, guaranteeing more active control over the equipment.
Aiming for a sustainable future, ACMA is investing in a specific project for the research on green material machinability, the development of innovative upgrade kits and production optimisation. Thanks to its Sustainability Lab – a fundamental asset to explore and provide new answers to the growing market demands – the company can perform accurate laboratory analysis, as well as machinability tests on paper-based, compostable, biodegradable and mono-materials, with a dedicated team of experts constantly at disposal to customers, material suppliers and converters.
Members from ACMA will be on hand at the 2023 Interpack Exhibition, excited to share with you their latest developments and answer any questions you might have.
