IFF will unveil new innovations at Gulfood Manufacturing 2024

IFF is preparing to showcase a range of new food and beverage innovations at Gulfood Manufacturing 2024, running from 5-7 November at the Dubai World Trade Center. This year’s theme, “Make joy through science and creativity,” reflects the company’s focus on transforming major industry trends into actionable solutions for manufacturers facing evolving consumer demands.

The concepts presented by IFF will concentrate on sensory delight, health benefits, and affordability, with an emphasis on cost-effective and sustainable solutions. These innovations will span across various product categories, including beverages, dairy, snacks, bakery, culinary, and confectionery, all designed to address the key challenges faced by manufacturers today.

Helga Moelschl, Regional President, AMETI, Nourish, IFF, emphasised the company’s strategy: “Our goal is to revolutionise the food and beverage industry by introducing solutions that not only meet market expectations but exceed them. By combining scientific expertise with creativity, we provide manufacturers with the tools they need to develop products that appeal to consumers’ senses while addressing broader concerns like affordability and sustainability.”

Among the key highlights of IFF’s exhibition is a cost-efficient dairy drink concept, which utilises a proprietary system of stabilisers, emulsifiers, and patented flavour technology. This solution offers significant savings on product composition without compromising the sensory profile or stability of the milk, available in both plain and sweetened versions. The dairy drinks also provide higher calcium levels than standard milk, reflecting the company’s commitment to delivering health benefits alongside cost savings.

In the beverage sector, IFF will introduce a fizzy drink designed to connect with consumers’ emotions while offering the functional benefits of an energy drink. This innovation leverages IFF’s Beyond Hedonics research methodology, which links flavour profiles to functional benefits and emotional responses such as energy, happiness, and focus, offering manufacturers a way to strengthen their brand’s connection with consumers.

Another notable concept is a tomato-based sauce that reduces the use of tomato paste by 30% or more. Powered by IFF’s CURE system, this solution offers manufacturers a cost-effective and sustainable alternative without sacrificing flavour, texture, or quality.

IFF’s focus on experiential delight is also demonstrated through its international snack innovations, which combine Asian and European culinary traditions. These products cater to the growing trend of ‘epicuriosity,’ where consumers seek out new and exciting flavours and aromas.

Additionally, with rising cocoa prices presenting challenges for manufacturers, IFF is offering solutions that reduce cocoa content in products such as cookies and chocolate drinks while maintaining the desired taste and quality. This approach allows manufacturers to mitigate cost concerns without compromising on consumer expectations for high-quality sensory experiences.

IFF’s participation in Gulfood Manufacturing 2024 underscores its commitment to helping manufacturers respond to industry trends by providing innovative, science-backed solutions. The company’s presence at the event, located at Hall 8, Booth A8-4, will allow visitors to explore how IFF’s innovations can drive their business forward.
