Happi launches first-to-market dedicated oat milk chocolate brand

Filling a gap in the confectionery sector for a delicious and ethically-sourced oat milk chocolate is Happi, the newest brand in the free-from confectionery category.

A brand that aims to make people smile, Happi is 100% natural, made with gluten free oat milk and rice syrup and promises a ‘rich & creamy’ taste with no nasties.

Using 47% single origin chocolate sourced directly and ethically from farmers and growers with a full ‘farm-to-bar’ supply chain, Happi puts great taste and quality above all else which is why it’s replaced soya lecithin with sunflower lecithin to make the range completely allergen free. It is also 35% less sugar than other mass market chocolate brands. 

There are four brand new bars to choose from: Plain Happi for the purist – 47% single origin oat milk chocolate, Cacao Nib Crunch– a simple blend of crushed cacao nibs and chocolate, Salted Caramel and Orange.

Also in the range is Happi Oat Milk Chocolate Buttons, designed to appeal to those wanting a tasty chocolate snack on the go and perfect for desk munching!

All naturally-flavoured, Happi puts great taste above all else and is also 35% less sugar than other mass market brands. “When we began working on Happi about eight months ago, we looked around at the oat milk chocolate options in the speciality sector and they were either very expensive or not particularly tasty,” explained the company’s Founder, Gavin Cox.

“We’ve set out to create a fun and approachable brand oat milk chocolate brand that is reasonably priced, tastes delicious and is something that parents would be happy to give their kids – and eat themselves!”

“We’ve paid careful attention to the ingredients we’ve used, sourcing sustainably throughout the supply chain to appeal to a wide market of younger consumers who are both health and environmentally conscious,” continued Cox. “The Free From market is dominated by major brands, however challenger brands are beginning to breakthrough and we want Happi to introduce new consumers to the category and have them buying not once, but multiple times.”

Happi is available in 40g and 80g bars and 100g bags of Buttons, RRP £1.75 – £3.50 from Selfridges, Ocado and local independent retailers nationwide from Mid-February.
