GEA to debut PowerPak 1000 and advanced packaging solutions at PPMA 2024

Global technology specialist GEA is set to impress industry professionals once again with its cutting-edge food processing and packaging solutions at this year’s PPMA Show. Taking centre stage at GEA’s stand will be the highly anticipated launch of the PowerPak 1000, the latest generation of the company’s flagship thermoforming machine.

Making its debut in the UK at the PPMA Show, the PowerPak 1000 showcases GEA’s commitment to efficiency, packaging quality, and safety. This state-of-the-art machine enhances productivity while significantly reducing operating costs, making it an ideal solution for start-ups and medium-sized businesses. The compact yet powerful PowerPak 1000 boasts a capacity of up to eight cycles per minute, suitable for packaging a wide range of products including meats, cheese, seafood, dairy, and fresh produce.

In addition to the PowerPak 1000, GEA will also be showcasing its high-volume drum forming machine, the GEA Maxiformer 600. Visitors will have the chance to explore GEA’s unique step filling process, designed to minimise waste and deliver consistent, uniform products every time.

GEA’s engineers will provide an immersive experience, using interactive technology to demonstrate the company’s extensive range of complete production lines available for diverse manufacturing applications.

Visitors to the stand will also have the opportunity to see the GEA SmartPacker CX400 in action. This highly reliable form-fill-seal model offers exceptional packaging quality and is designed for high capacity. Ideal for a variety of applications, including confectionery, savoury snacks, fresh bagged salads, and grated cheese, the SmartPacker CX400 delivers impressive output levels with a wide choice of bag styles.

Specialists from GEA’s Extrusion Food Technology department, covering pasta, noodles, and snacks, along with the GEA Bakery team, will be available to discuss the latest innovations and answer questions on their diverse range of technologies.
