Galaxy is extending its range of vegan and gluten free chocolate bars with the launch Friday September 21 2020 of two new exciting flavours – Galaxy Vegan Smooth Mint and Galaxy Vegan Crumbled Cookie.
The two new bars will join, Galaxy Vegan Smooth Orange, Galaxy Vegan Caramelised Hazelnut and Galaxy Vegan Caramel and Sea Salt, to create a range of five products.
The range, launched at the end of last year is already the number one brand in the free from chocolate category* and the new skus are expected to add further incremental growth to the category. Building on the brand’s mission to encourage everyone to ‘Choose Pleasure’, the company said Galaxy is now offering a range of vegan treats which don’t compromise on quality or taste. Tested by the company’s team of sensory scientists and professional tasters to ensure just the right flavour profile, the vegan recipe uses hazelnut paste to create the same smooth and creamy signature characteristics of Galaxy that we all know and love.
While the vegan market is relatively small at around 600,000 people in the UK** the flexitarian market, is showing significant growth with predictions that flexitarians will make up just under half of all UK consumer by 2025***.

The new Vegan Smooth Mint is a combination of rich cocoa and peppermint oil blended with smooth and creamy almond paste. Vegan Crumbled Cookie combines rich cocoa and cookie pieces blended with creamy hazelnut paste.
The entire range including the two products will be available in ASDA from September 21 2020. RSP: £3.00.
