Fudge Kitchen shops launch limited-edition fudge in support of Ukraine

Fudge Kitchen have launched a limited-edition fudge, with all proceeds going to Direct Relief – a humanitarian aid organisation working on the ground in Ukraine to provide urgent medical care & emergency response.

Anyone who visits a Fudge Kitchen shop this week will be able to donate an amount of their choosing in exchange for a slice of Lemon Meringue fudge, coloured yellow and blue in homage to the Ukrainian flag. The money raised will go directly to those in Ukraine that need it most.

Fudge Kitchen shops can be found up and down the country in some of the UK’s most beautiful and historic cities, including Bath, Canterbury, York, Windsor, Cambridge & Edinburgh.

Supported by giving platform B1G1, Direct Relief is working with Ukraine’s Ministry of Health and regional partners to provide urgent medical aid. 100% of the money raised will be forwarded to Direct Relief to support people displaced or affected by the conflict.

B1G1 are an initiative that helps businesses achieve more social impact by embedding giving activities into their everyday business operations. Between October 2020 and 2021 Fudge Kitchen contributed over 14,000 impacts to B1G1 causes around the world.

Fudge Kitchen MD, Sian Holt, says “It was important for us to partner with the right aid organisation to ensure fundraising proceeds get to where they’re needed most. Direct Relief has a 100% fundraising efficiency rating and full transparency across its operations. Our limited-edition fudge is a small thing we can do as a business to stand in solidarity with those in Ukraine.”

Fudge Kitchen have been making their traditional slab fudge for nearly 40 years. Their confectionery range also spans chocolate enrobed caramels, crunchy brittles, gourmet butter fudge and an innovative drinking fudge. They are famous for their fudge shops, where you can watch their expert artisan fudge makers skilfully producing fresh batches of fudge daily.
